Dr. John Fischer

Dr. John Fischer serves as Co-Executive Director of Menorah Ministries.

 

John Fischer was born in Budapest, Hungary, and is part of a family who miraculously survived the Holocaust. He holds six earned college and university degrees, including a Ph.D. and a Th.D. John has been married to Dr. Patrice Fischer since 1972; they have two grown children and four grandchildren.

 

John holds several executive and academic positions. He is the Rabbi of Congregation Ohr Chadash (a Messianic synagogue in Clearwater, Florida) and serves as a Co-Executive Director of Menorah Ministries with his wife, Dr. Patrice Fischer. Academically, he is the Vice President for Academics at St. Petersburg Seminary and Yeshiva and the Rosh Yeshiva at Netzer David International Yeshiva.

A highly respected leader in the Messianic Jewish movement, Dr. Fischer is a member of the Executive Committee of the Messianic Jewish Rabbinic Council. He was one of the founders of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations and served as its President for several years, in addition to being a past President of the International Messianic Jewish Alliance.

 

Dr. Fischer has spoken and taught repeatedly throughout the United States and around the world, lecturing in countries including Israel, Russia, France, Germany, Poland, Canada, and South Africa. He is the author of numerous articles and several books, including: L’Chaim, The Olive Tree Connection, The Meaning And Importance Of The Jewish Holidays, The Enduring Paradox, and The Distortion (an analysis of the ongoing nature of religious anti-Judaism and anti-Semitism and the issues they raise).
